Rich and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first baby around August 5th, 2005!

We wanted to wait until we were safely through the first trimester before sharing the news with everyone and I am happy to report that I am now in my 17th week of pregnancy. We first found out that I was pregnant on the day before Thanksgiving, and made the announcement to our parents shortly before Christmas. As you can imagine, the grandparents-to-be are very excited!

Other than severe “morning” (aka all-day) sickness, everything seems to be progressing well. We had an ultrasound done a few weeks ago and to our surprise Baby D. was dancing around quite actively (although I haven’t felt any movement yet). According to the doc, baby is measuring right where (s)he should be and has a healthy heartbeat of 146 bpm. We will find out in March whether Baby D is a boy or a girl!
